"you always lose something in the move: a collection"
Earlier this year at my first photo exhibition, my guy Baidy stopped by the space to see the show and she brought a few guests with him - one of those guests was Sundai Johnson. At the time, I didn't know that she was this amazing writer but when it came up that I do book publishing, she casually threw out there that she would like to explore the possibilities of me helping her publish a collection of her poems. Well...several months later, I am very pleased to say that today her "you always lose something in the move" chapbook is officially available now and on her 24th birthday! Wow...what a way to bring in the new year! You can purchase the book here.
Happy Birthday Sundai! I’m extremely proud of you and I’m eternally grateful for you trusting me to help bring your vision to life. I have no doubt that this is only the beginning and I can't wait to see all of the amazing things that come of this!
As an added bonus - she is having a pop-up this weekend at my space to help commemorate the release of her book. You can RSVP here.
