An article worth reading
I haven't always been a fan of Chris Rock's comedy routines, I don't know if it was his voice or delivery (or both) - but for some reason I've always tuned in to watch/read his interviews; ironically, I think that's where he shines the most. And in this recent interview with New York Magazine - he's a total star, by far one of the best interviews I've read. With all of the chaos and racial tension that's going on in America, I really admire his ability to talk about these events and shed light on areas that's generally dark. His perspective on life and the world is awesome.
I highly recommend you checking out this article.
This is one of my favorite moments from the interview - Chris's perspective on Bush versus Obama - totally genius.
When you mentioned Bush, I thought you were going to say something else, which is that he had this “good versus evil” manner of speaking — the Western sheriff who’s come to lay down the law. Obama’s been faulted for not showing anger in public, and for not speaking in simple, declarative Bushisms. Of course, the moment he does do that, he’s accused of being an angry black man.
